RE: Reusing the pink stuff.

Here's the problem I see with re-use. In my TT, the gray water and black water exits the trailer via the same pipe into the sewer hose (or bucket). I wouldn't be very comfortable pumping AF back into my freshwater system after it has passed through that pipe. Buying a couple gallons of new AF sounds better to me than a hospital bill for e-coli (not to mention the misery and pain).
a good point, where is he going to collect this used AF? and assuming he has a hot water heater bypass and a winterizing pickup tube, he will use about 1 and 1/2 gallons of AF at $4.00 a gal?
my time is worth more than that.

RE: laptop purchase options?

when I bought, Dell would sell me one with XP, to get a HP you had to contact the commercial site, not home site. you could go out and buy a copy of XP now and put it on whatever you get.

RE: Keurig Coffee Maker opinions?

I was considering getting a POD type myself but figured out that the coffee cost about 1,000 times normal costs. I thought that those pods were half real coffee and half instant anyway. plus one cup of coffee, why?

RE: drinking water

I drink water from my fresh water tank all the time. I fill it half full at home, then anytime I find good tasting water and need it, top it off a bit.
I don't drink bottled water at home, don't know why I would on the road.

RE: To purchase a RV lot in a park... or not!

"Your views and opinions are fine and welcomed, but please do not try and force your lifestyle on us. You always seem upset/concerned to some degree that some of us do things differently. We do it OUR way. Oh and yes I'm setting you straight as you put it. live and let live please. Don't chastise us who do differently than you with your stick in the mud and boring place statements. I will remove any such further statements like that. Very uncalled for . We all do not live YOUR life. Thank you."

RE: To purchase a RV lot in a park... or not!

Why in the world would anyone want to go to the same place everytime?:R The purpose of full-time RVing is to hit the road and see something. You might as well stay in a stick home if you are going to park in the same boring place everytime you go out. Just my opinion. I'm sure the stick-in-the mud stay in one place RV'ers will set me straight.:S
Well I for one think it would be sort of nice to have a 'home" if one sells off their stick home for a permanent address. some place where you are sure you can always "camp out" at in a location where you would like to spend some time. Nothing prevents you from venturing from there as you see fit.

RE: Oh-oh, my MH dream may be evaporating....

snip and good used rig can be a great value with a lot less depreciation and it will have most of the bugs driven out of it. Good Luck!!!
either that or was such a lemon that the previous owner unloaded it as is suggested in this forum when you have an unfixable problem.

don't know what ones you are talking about but I had a set for my boat trailer, one post went on the ball and the other on the hitch over where the ball was to go. one had a v on the top that you just lined up the other one with. seemed to do what it was supposed to do.

RE: Update: RV parking at Reno, Nevada casinos

It seems like the Reno Mayor is on the side of people with RV's.
All we need to do is get a bunch of Casino's to understand we will not be going to Las Vegas or Reno until they agree that RV's are not all dirtbags, and we should be allowed to camp in the casino parking lot overnight - or at least until the casino closes. The casino's have the attention of the Mayor and city council.
Fred.
I thought the original problem was "camping" in the parking lots, not just parking.

RE: A CAMPGROUND WITHOUT HOLIDAY SPIRIT ?????

are you "positive" that the campground didn't have one of the recycle bins with the three compartments?
bumpy
So you're saying that the campground had the local municipalities recycle bins and now the campground is removing it from there? That would be illegal.
I deducted that they were no bins as it would be illegal for the campground to remove or allow someone to remove items from municipality containers.
You could go round and round until the cows come home with What ifs.
The bottom line was the campground didn't care until a charitable woman made it successful and now that want to put to the bottom line.
Are you sure that people weren't giving the cans because they knew it was going to help less fortunate people?
The tax excuse it just plan nonsense...... IF anything they can use it for a deduction.
are the only recycle bins placed out there, municipally owned? your post seems to assume so.
